Welcome to the blog

I started Whimsy & Philosophy out of a desire to dive deeper into the things I love and the things that I should love. (Shoutout to the people who encouraged me to actually make this happen. Thank you, friends!) Stick around to join me in learning to delight in wisdom, and pursue truth with heart, humour and good cheer.

This world we live in is beauty and brokenness. Creation is intricately ordered, and yet it is also fallen into chaos. Love and heartache, growth and grief, contentment and cruelty. All bundled up together in this place we call our "earthly home."

Life is hard. There's no way around that. Our hearts turn towards hatred, our bodies fall prey to disease, our authorities fail us, and institutions decay. Sometimes we feel like it’ll be this way forever.

Life is tough. And life is good. The God who formed the galaxies with His powerful voice spoke beauty into every mountain and every budding leaf of His creation. Even when we can't see His work or hear His song, He is here holding it all together.

I don't have all the answers, but my good God does. Here on W&P I am diving into His word and His creation, looking for the wisdom and answers He does offer. Praying that He will open my eyes to something new, something as old as the earth.
